Description
This showy annual goes by several names: Showy tickseed, tickseed sunflower, swamp marigold, bearded beggarticks, and bur marigold. The seeds, which are eaten by birds, can stick to your clothing in the fall. The yellow flowers attract a number of beneficial pollinators such as bees, wasps, butterflies, and beetles.
Though it prefers moist conditions, it is drought tolerant.
