This long bloomer provides quality bird seed from Aug to Nov. Use with summer flowers that are purple.
Uses: Butterflies, bees, birds, long flowering period
Bloom time: June - September
Height: 2 to 4 feet
Space: 18 to 30 inches
Sun: Full sun to light shade
Moisture: Dry to moist
Seed: Needs cold-moist stratification of at least one month; two to three months would be better. The following seeding rates should deposit roughly 30 seeds per square foot:
~200 seeds per packet
7,800 seeds per ounce
1 ounce per 260 square feet
10 pounds per acre

Excellent germination strong plants blooms first summer
Started 9 pots all 9 had multiple sprouts. Allowed several sprouts grow to on. All 9 lived and were planted out and flowered by the end of August the first year. As the description indicates they flower until first frost so enjoying them into autumn Very pleased with this - thank you for offering it MO Wildflowers!

I received these seeds March 1. Should I cold stratify then in the fridge until April or direct sow them now? Thanks.

A:
The lot you received shouldn't need any cold stratification; it is about 85% ready to germinate. You can direct sow now.
