Fantastic groundcover in full sun & dry soil. Creeping, 2-inch foliage totally covers soil. Prairie pussytoes will make a nice filler in container gardens.
Uses: Butterflies, container gardens, ground cover, host plant
Bloom time: April - June
Height: 4 to 10 inches
Space:6 to 12 inches
Sun: Full sun to light shade
Moisture: Dry to average
Seed: Sow fresh seed as soon as available (usually by June). Some seed will germinate within a month, and the rest will germinate the following spring. These tiny seeds will need light to germinate, so do not cover them.

These tough little plants are growing between stone pavers in a spot that gets hot and dry but not consistently full sun. They have spread gently but persistently to form a large mat of soft grey. The soft fuzzy flowers in the spring look like kitten's paws more than flowers.

Could this plant work in the spillway of a rain garden? The spillway consists of smooth 6” - 12” river rock. I’m looking for a very low growing solution that could nestle into the gaps and out-compete weeds.
