Robin's Plantain (Erigeron pulchellus)

Question

Q: Hello! I have a quick question about Erigeron pulchellus (Robin's plantain); I think it might be suitable for a planting I am planning, and I have read that it is only a short-lived perennial. Do you have any opinions, and/or is there another white flower that isn't overly tall that is good for medium moisture and sun to light shade? I can't quite find 'just the thing' in the catalog. Thanks!

I've had it in a bed for about 5 years and it blooms well every spring. I suspect it can be short-lived, but it spreads through its roots. So the original plant may die off, but new shoots typically start growing nearby.

Some other options might be yarrow, wild strawberry, cream gentian, palespike lobelia, jumpseed, or wild stonecrop.

They start out with one plant, but Robin's Plantain spreads underground. So, if you get a pot that was planted last year, you might get up to 5 plants in a pot.
