Description
Tall, thick, round stems make this an attractive plant at the pond's edge. It forms dense colonies via underground rhizomes. As long as the soil is moist, it will grow readily; however, it can grow in water up to 3 feet deep. Bulrushes are important for birds, providing seed, cover and nesting material.
Uses: Pond vegetation, wetlands, birds, edible
