Questions and Answers
Texas Greeneyes is one of the longest-blooming species we sell at Missouri Wildflowers Nursery. The yellow flowers show up in June and continue opening throughout the year into September and sometimes into October. The long flowering period allows plenty of time for bees and butterflies to help pollinate the plant; new seedlings will appear at some point and may need to be thinned from a flower bed.
Uses: Long blooming period, pollinators, butterflies
Bloom time: June to September
Height: 18 to 48 inches
Space: 18 to 24 inches
Sun: Full sun to light shade
Moisture: Dry to average
Q:
When should I order these plants for the 2016 growing season? Any nursery's in the area sell them? Can I buy the seeds from you too ? thanks, Jim Wallace

A:
We have some quart pots available now. You can still plant them this year if you'd like, or you can order them now for next spring--just note in the comment section at the bottom of the order form that you'd like us to ship them next spring (you can tell us when to ship if you have a date in mind). We don't have any seed right now. You can also call to order at 573-496-3492.

A:
You should mix the seed with moist sand or potting soil. Put the mixture in a plastic sandwich bag and refrigerate at least 4 weeks to improve germination.
