Q:
Last fall I wanted to buy one of the tulip trees but I was too late for your last visit to the kirkwood farmers market near where I live. I called the nursery and was told they have about 70 of them that should be available in spring 2021. Now it shows you are sold out & I signed up for the waitlist. Will you be getting more in this spring? Thank you. PS miss the catalog.

Q:
What kind of soil type does this tree require?
Asked by:

A:
According to the USDA Forest Service, the soil's chemical and nutrient composition is much less important than the physical properties of the soil. Tulip Tree will grow best in full sun in soils that are "moderately moist, well drained, and loose textured; it rarely does well in very wet or very dry situations."
