Description
Woodland spiderwort is an attractive flower for shaded areas. The pink or purplish flowers appear in the spring; then, as the weather heats up, the plant goes dormant--usually in June. When the weather cools again in the fall, the plant will reappear and possibly bloom a second time. Plant with celandine poppy, wild sweet william, and oak sedge--all plants that retain their foliage while woodland spiderwort is dormant.
